Change the Environment, Change the Habit →

Every New Year, people set goals like getting fitter, eating better, or being more consistent. But goals alone don’t change behaviour. What we do each day does.

Our habits are shaped by our environment. If our surroundings stay the same, our behaviour usually stays the same too. If you want a new habit, make it easier to do the right thing. Set up your space, your time, and your routines so the behaviour you want becomes the natural choice.

Small daily habits, whether good or bad, add up over time. They lead to outcomes whether we notice it or not. This is why focusing only on results rarely works. Results come after the habits are in place.

Instead of chasing outcomes, focus on the process. Change the environment, build better daily habits, and let the results take care of themselves.
