Shoulder Taps - W Cone
This is one of our favourite control-based tasks at RD Coaching — designed to improve shoulder stability, core engagement, and movement precision.
All your child needs is a small household object like a cone or cup. Starting in a push-up position, the object is placed on the lower back. The goal is to complete controlled shoulder taps — right hand to left shoulder, then left to right — without letting the object fall.
The catch? If they swing too much or rush through the movement, the object slips off. So it’s not about going fast — it’s about staying braced, balanced, and focused.
This is perfect for developing postural control, upper-body strength, and awareness — key movement traits for kids aged 9–15.
