OUR STORY

Roy was raised in the heart of Mumbai, a vibrant, multicultural city where sport was simple: played on the streets, with friends, full of creativity and energy. Growing up in that diverse environment shaped both his physical skills and his values: respect, discipline, and a deep love for movement and people.

After a career in professional football, Roy moved to New Zealand, where he found his true calling in coaching. But not just coaching for results, coaching that develops the whole person. Through RD Performance Coaching, he now leads programmes that blend football, movement, and life skills, helping young people grow in confidence, character, and ability.

At RD, we create environments that are safe, engaging, and purposeful, where young players are encouraged to take ownership, give their best, and keep striving to improve. It’s not about pressure, it’s about pride in your effort and joy in your progress.

With the right support, we believe young people can thrive, not just as athletes, but as strong, capable individuals both on and off the field.

    Why We Coach

Inspired by his own playing career and the journey that led him into coaching, Roy founded RD Performance Coaching with a clear purpose—to develop good people before good athletes. With nearly a decade of coaching experience, he believes football is an unspoken language that creates powerful connections. His mission is to provide a thriving environment where young athletes gain life skills, build confidence, and create memories that extend far beyond the sport.

    Why We Coach

Involved in football all his life, Mikey has spent nearly a decade coaching, shaping young athletes, and instilling the mindset needed to thrive. He coaches to inspire youth to be the best they can be—on and off the field—regardless of the outcome.
