Lateral Broad Jump

This power challenge builds explosive strength, coordination, and control — using lateral (sideways) jumping to test and develop lower-body power in a fun, measurable way.

Starting on one leg, your child performs a broad lateral jump and marks their landing spot with a cone or small object. They get three attempts per side, aiming to beat their distance each time with full effort and clean landings.

This task encourages maximum effort while tracking progress — helping kids understand what real intent and improvement feel like.

At RD Coaching, we use challenges like this to teach power, focus, and self-motivation — all through simple tasks that feel more like games than drills.
