Lateral Lunge - W TB + Plate
This lower-body control challenge focuses on balance, coordination, and movement precision — all while adding an element of focus under pressure.
Using a plate and tennis ball stacked together, your child stands in a wide stance. While keeping one leg straight and the other knee bent, they shift laterally to touch their heel — without letting the ball fall off the plate. After each rep, they reset to a tall standing position with knees straight, then repeat on the opposite side.
The goal: complete 10 clean reps with control, stability, and zero drops.
This is a great challenge for improving single-leg stability, lateral strength, and focus — especially for young athletes. At RD Coaching, we design challenges that develop body awareness and athletic movement in a fun, task-based way.
